Just like yogasanas are necessary,
exercise is also necessary. Do not mistake yogasanas for exercise, there is a
difference between the two. Yes, if you practice yoga regularly, then you need
less exercise. Every day exercise keeps your body healthy and happier.
Some types of
exercises are mentioned below, it is not necessary that you do all of them daily but do any two of them daily. Do the rest whenever you have free time.
Brisk walking - Brisk walking is a very good exercise.
It does not put much stress on the body and is done easily. Along with
yogasana, make walking a part of your regular exercise.
Swimming - Swimming is the best exercise for the
whole body. But it is not easily available to everyone and not everyone knows
how to swim. If you know swimming and it is available to you, then definitely
do it.
Jogging - Make jogging a part of your regular exercise. Daily
jogging keeps your body fit. It tires you less than running but gives full
benefits. Jog on a flat and clean place.
Running - If you can run, then run. There is no better exercise
than running daily. Running saw fastest affects in every part of the body
portion.
Weightlifting - Weight lifting done in a proportion and
under proper supervision is very effective. It helps in muscle toning as well
as burns extra fat. Do not lift more weight than your capacity, nor try to
overdo it. Increase weightlifting gradually with practice.
Dance exercise - Dance exercise can also be done on a
particular rhythm. Remember to use all the joints of your body and keep
exercising until you are completely tired. Dance exercises are very effective
in reducing weight.
Aerobic Exercise - Aerobic exercise is exercise done on a
rhythm. The aim of this exercise is to increase your breathing and learn to
control it. Aerobic exercise strengthens your heart.
Power Yoga - This is the link between yoga and
exercise. It is not easy to do, practice slowly. Power Yoga keeps your body fit
and healthy by making you work hard in less time.
Cycling - Cycling for some time is a very good exercise. It
tightens the leg muscles, strengthens the knees and melts a lot of fat.
Sports - Try to play a game like badminton, tennis, football,
kabaddi, etc. once a day. If not, then play once a week for two hours. It is
not necessary that you play these games following all the rules. Your goal is
not to win the game but to exercise your body. Play comfortably and avoid any
kind of injury.
In this way of regular
practice, we keep our body healthy and more peaceful.
